The 2024 Liturgical Calendar is dedicated to missionary religious congregations working in South Africa. It includes a small selection of the many congregations present in different areas of service. This edition also recognizes and honors the contributions of all missionary congregations in the more than 200 years of the Church in Southern Africa, with a special focus on the Comboni missionaries who are celebrating their Centenary in South Africa this year. The calendar features two pages per month and includes daily readings and references, as well as feast days for saints and other liturgical celebrations.
MISSIONARY CONGREGATIONS IN SOUTH AFRICA: The 2024 Liturgical Calendar is dedicated to missionary religious congregations who work in South Africa. The ones included in the twelve months of this edition are a tiny representation of the many more present in various fields of apostolate. In this year when the Comboni missionaries celebrate their Centenary of the arrival to South Africa, we would like to recognize and honour the generous service rendered by all missionary congregations in the more than 200 years of the Church in Southern Africa.
